On the last day of the festival bathing begins at dawn and the bathing Ghats gets filled up with so much people that it is difficult to find a place in the Ghats. It is said that taking a dip in the holy waters washes away the sin that a person has performed during his lifetime. After taking a bath the pilgrims offer prayers to God Brahma, who is supposed to be the creator of the universe. Tiny leaf boats, each carrying an oil lamp and some flowers are set afloat on the holy lake. The next day the people attending the festival return to their homes with their new camels.
