The Chittorgarh Fort is regarded as one of the most wonderful forts in India and is situated on a 180 m high hillock covering an area of about 700 acres and is believed to be built in the 7th Century. One can enter the fort after crossing seven gateways protected by watch towers and iron spiked doors. The fort is also called the �Water Fort� and had 84 water bodies of which 22 still exist. Jain Temples: There are six Jain temples in the fort of Chittor. The largest among them is the temple dedicated to Bhagawan Adinatha with fifty-two devkulikas. The seven-storied Kirtistambh, built in the 14th Century is dedicated Bhagawan Adinatha.
Bassi Wildlife Sanctuary: The sanctuary covering an area of about 50 square km is situated near Bassi and is located on the Western fringes of the Vindhyachal Ranges. Important animals that are found in this sanctuary include panthers, wild boars, antelopes, and mongoose. A large number of resident and migratory birds are also found in the sanctuary.
Sanwariyaji Temple: This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is one of the most visited places in the city. The temple has been recently renovated and decorated with glasses.
