Palace on Wheels

Day 1 - Delhi

Board the train at Delhi Cantonment Railway Station. Have dinner and stay overnight on board the Palace on Wheels.

Day 2 - Jaipur

Welcome to the Pink City Jaipur. Lunch at Rambagh Palace. Head for Jaipur sightseeing.

Explore Hawa Mahal, Nahargarh Fort, Amber Fort as well as other silent sentinels of a glorious era.

Overnight stay on board the train.

Day 3 - Jaisalmer

Morning arrival at Jaisalmer. Visit the exquisitely carved havelis and palaces.

Exlpore the beauty of latticed windows, balconies, cupolas and facades. Experience the famous camel safaris & desert camps. Dine under the stars.

The train departs later at night.

Day 4 - Jodhpur

Arrive in Jodhpur.

Visit fifteenth century Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Have lunch at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, the Royal Residence a part of which is now transformed to heritage hotel.

Return to the train in the afternoon.

Day 5 - Sawai Madhopur & Chittaurgarh

Visit the fort and famous Ranthambore National Park, an exquisite tiger reserve. Afternoon, head towards Chittaurgarh.

Overnight stay on board.

Day 6 - Udaipur

Arrive in Udaipur, the city of lakes, palaces, gardens and forts.

Have lunch at the Lake Palace Hotel. Visit the City Palace in all its ancient glory.

Spend night in the train.

Day 7 - Bharatpur

The Palace on Wheels arrives in Bharatpur, a wonderland of birds.

Visit the famous Keoladeo Ghana National Park. It is home to more than 300 species of birds some flying in from as far as Siberia and China.

Day 8 - Agra

Visit the red sandstone fort of Fatehpur Sikri. Lunch at the Mughal Sheraton in Agra and proceed to one of the most beautiful monuments of the world, the Taj Mahal.

Day 9 - Delhi

Have breakfast on board. Disembark the train after it arrives at the Delhi Cantonment Railway Station.
