You will also get to visit some of the important pilgrimage sights while embarking on the Medieval Heritage Tour in India. The destinations that will be covered as a part of the Medieval Heritage Tour, are, Delhi, Varanas, Agra, Khajuraho, Orchha, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Ujjain, Mandu, Bhopal, Sanchi, Panchmarhi, Jabalpur and Mumbai.
Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
On your arrival at Delhi, you will be met by tour representatives and transferred to the hotel. You will be taken on a city sightseeing tour around the city.
Day 02: Delhi
In the morning of the second day of the Medieval Heritage Tour in India, you will be taken on a city tour of New Delhi which covers a visit to the Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate and the Parliament House. In the afternoon, you will be taken on a city tour of Old Delhi which would cover a visit to the Jama Masjid, Red Fort and the Gandhi Memorial. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi � Varanasi
In the morning of the third day of Medieval Heritage, you will be transferred to the airport to board flight for Varanasi. On arrival you will be transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will be taken on an excursion to Sarnath. Sarnath is famous as the land where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after enlightenment. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel in Varanasi.
Day 04: Varanasi - Agra
Early in the morning, you will be taken on a boat ride, to be followed by a city tour which would cover a visit to the Alamgir Mosque or Beni Madhav Ka Darera, Dasaswamedh Ghat, Benares Hindu University & The Bharat Mata Temple. Later during the day you will be transferred to airport to board flight to Agra. On arrival at Agra you will be transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will be taken to visit the Red Fort, Tomb of Itmad-ud-daula�s Tomb. Later you will be taken on an excursion to Fatehpur Sikri. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 05: Agra � Khajuraho
Early in the morning of the fifth day of Medieval Heritage Tour, you will be taken to visit the Tajmahal, which is a magnificent edifice erected by the Mughal Ruler Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Later during the day you will be transferred to airport to board the flight to Khajuraho. On your arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will be taken on a sightseeing tour to explore the Western / Eastern group of Temples, which are known for their beautiful sculpture. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 06: Khajuraho � Orchha � Gwalior
Today in the morning, you are scheduled to leave for Orchha. Orcha is often described as the medieval legacy in stone. Here you can visit the Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal and Chaturbhuj Temple. All these temples are noted for the beautiful murals and sculptures which reflect the architectural brilliance of the age. On your arrival, you are required to check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 07: Gwalior - Shivpuri
On the seventh day of the Medieval Heritage Tour in India, you will be taken to visit the magnificent Gwalior Fort. This edifice houses the Grand Palace, Man Mandir Palace, Sas Bahu Ka Mandir, Suraj Kund etc. The tombs of Tansen and Ghias Mohammed, the Museum in Jai Vilas Palace and the Sun temple are among the most noted tourist attractions in Gwalior. Later during the day, you will be taken on a drive to Shivpuri where dinner and overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 08: Shivpuri
This day will begin with a visit to cenotaphs of Shivpuri. You will also get to visit the Bhadaiya Kund. After having lunch and rest, you will be proceeding to visit the Madhav National Park. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 09: Shivpuri � Ujjain
On the ninth day of the Medieval Heritage, you are scheduled to leave for Ujjain after having your breakfast. On your arrival, check into a hotel where you are scheduled to spend the night.
Day 10: Ujjain
After having your breakfast, you will get to enjoy sightseeing tour of renowned pilgrim centre. As per the itinerary, you are scheduled to visit Mahakaleshwar Temple, Bada Ganeshji Ka Mandir and the Kaliadeh Palace. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 11: Ujjain � Mandu
Today, after having your breakfast, you are scheduled to head for Indore which is famous for its Kanch Mandir. You can also visit the Museum which has a good exhibition of artifacts from the medieval Hindu era. Post lunch, you are required to visit Mandu, return in the evening and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12: Mandu
Mandu, often referred to as The City of Joy, is full of legends of love and glory of Baz Bahadur and the beautiful Roopmati. In Mandu, you will get to visit several noteworthy palaces. Notable of these are Ashrafi Mahal, Rewa Kund Group and the Hindola Mahal. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 13: Mandu � Bhopal
On the thirteenth day of the Tour to Medieval Heritage, you are scheduled to leave for Bhopal. On the route, you will have your lunch at Indore. You will get to enjoy a free evening to shop and relax. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel in Bhopal.
Day 14: Bhopal � Sanchi � Bhopal
After breakfast you are scheduled to leave for Sanchi, the ancient seat of Buddhist learning. The sites that must be visited are the Archeological Museum and the Ashoka pillar and the Buddha figure in red sandstone in the museum premise. Great Stupa is also an interesting tourist attraction in Sanchi. You are scheduled to return to Bhopal and visit the Taj-ul-Masjid which is one of the largest mosques in India. Laxmi Narayan Temple & Birla Museum can also be visited in the evening. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 15: Bhopal � Panchmarhi
Today is the fifteenth day of the Medieval Heritage Tour and you are scheduled to leave for Panchmarhi after breakfast. On the route you will get to visit Bhimbetka where you will get to see paintings in more than 500 caves, all the paintings depicting the life of the pre-historic dwellers. On the route you are scheduled to have your lunch. Later during the day, you are scheduled to arrive at Pachmarhi to spend a relaxed evening and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 16: Panchmarhi
Panchmarhi is a place which is surrounded by forests, waterfalls and pools. In the evening, you will get to experience the beautiful sunset at Dhupgarh, which is the highest point in the Satpuras Range.
Day 17: Panchmarhi � Jabalpur
After breakfast on the seventeenth day of the tour, you are scheduled to leave for Jabalpur. On reaching Jabalpur, have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 18: Jabalpur � Mumbai
Today you will be transferred to the railway station to board the train to Mumbai for an overnight journey.
Day 19: Departure - Mumbai
This is the last day of the Medieval Heritage; you will be transferred to a hotel for getting freshened up. In the afternoon, a short trip around the city, will be conducted, later you will be transferred to the International Airport to board the flight back home.
