Maharaja Retreat

Maharaja Retreat will give you an opportunity to explore the princely cities in northern part of India. The destinations which will be covered on the tour include places like, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Samode and Mandawa.
Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
On your arrival at Delhi you will be met by tour representative who will transfer you to the hotel. Overnight stay is scheduled at this hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
In the morning, after having breakfast, you will be taken to explore the capital of various kingdoms and empires. Delhi is now the capital city of the country. Tourists will be taken on a sightseeing trip where you will get to visit Qutub minar, Humayun Tomb, India gate and the Parliament. Overnight is scheduled to be spent at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi � Agra
On the third day of the Maharaja Retreat Tour in India, you will be driven to Agra, on the route you will get to visit Sikandara. On arrival the guests are welcomed in a traditional way. After check in, relax for few hours and then proceed to visit the Red Fort, The Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula etc.
In the evening there are special traditional programs arranged for the entertainment of the guests. The guests are made to wear traditional "Pagris" (turbans) and "Chunnis" (scarfs) and are welcomed with a shower of rose petals and "ittar" (perfume). Attendants attired in traditional dresses serve sumptuous meal in Silver Thalis (plates) on "bajot" (low tables) and the guests are asked to seat on mattress. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 04: Agra
Early in the morning you will be taken on a spectacular view of the Majestic Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is referred to as the love story written in Marble. In the evening you can visit the local Bazaar from where you can buy some exclusive handicrafts pieces. In the evening, a Village fair Theme is organized: in this theme a village setting is created with bamboo huts, benches and stalls. The villagers meet the guests and display traditional skills of making several handicrafts, such as doll, puppet, pottery "pichwai" paintings etc. Monkey show, a palmist, a snake charmer and a performance with dummy horse dancers and singers are also arranged for the entertainment of the guests. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 05: Agra � Jaipur
Today is the fifth day of the Tour to Maharaja Retreat when you are scheduled to proceed to Jaipur. On the route you will get to visit the old deserted town of Fatehpur Sikri. On your arrival, check into a hotel, where you will be welcomed in the traditional way. Ladies dressed in Rajasthani costumes will put a garland and perform "aarti" and "tikka" ceremonies. The music of the Shehnai and the welcome drink makes the appropriate backdrop for the traditional welcome. In the afternoon you will be left free to walk around and explore the city. Dinner and overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 06: Jaipur
On the sixth day of the Maharaja Retreat Tour, after having your breakfast, you are scheduled to go on an excursion to Amer Fort. The ride on the elephant on your way to the Amer Fort gives you an experience rich and wild. In the afternoon take a city tour which comprise of a visit to the Hawa Mahal, Royal Observatory, Nawab Sahab � Ki - Haveli, City Palace, Johari Bazaar etc. In the evening, you will be taken to visit a set up of Rajput Wedding. A buffet meal, traditional performances and few rituals are performed as a part of the staged wedding ceremony. Retire to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 07: Jaipur � Samode
On this day, you are scheduled to head to Samode, after breakfast. Here also you will be welcomed in a traditional way, where camels line the village route and you enter the palace on the carts and local musicians playing some traditional hymns all along. On your arrival at the palace you will be received in a traditional way. Check into hotel. After relaxing for a few hours, you can join the cocktail arranged at Sheesh Mahal and can enjoy the cultural performance at the Durbar hall. You are scheduled to have dinner at the hotel while enjoying some local performance at the hotel.
Day 08: Samode - Mandawa
In the morning, you are free to take a stroll around the palace or the fort. You can enjoy a camel ride and explore the rural lifestyle. Later during the day you are scheduled to drive to Mandawa. You will be welcomed in a traditional way. In the evening, enjoy a bar-be-cue with camp fire to make the night special and to enjoy a romantic outing. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 09: Mandawa - Delhi
On the ninth day of the Maharaja Retreat, you are scheduled to visit havelis & beautiful palaces and forts. You are scheduled to drive back to Delhi and on your arrival, check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Delhi
This is the last day of the Maharaja Retreat Tour in India. After having your breakfast, check out from the hotel and enjoy a short sightseeing tour around Old Delhi, which would comprise of a visit to the Jama Masjid, Red fort, Gandhi memorial and many other historical sites. In the evening, you will be taken for a tour on the outskirts of the city for a farewell dinner. Later, you will be transferred to the International Airport to board the flight back home.
