The trip of a stretch of about 136km starts from Rudraprayag, a small town on the Badrinath road and ends in Rishikesh.

Head for Kathgodam from Delhi in the overnight train Ranikhet Express and then drive from Kathgodam to Pithoragarh from where you reach Jhulaghat after a 2 hr drive. Rafting starts here along stretches of stalactite and stalagmite formations. Set a camp for overnight stay and then reach Pancheswar where Kali River meets Saryu River. Try the tougher rapids from here onwards and through Bathad, Goshaini ultimately merging with Parvati at Banjar.
