Vagator Beach

INTRODUCTION

Vagator Beach is among the breathtakingly beautiful beaches of Goa. It is characterized by soft white sands, black lava rocks, coconut groves, and lush green landscape. The sea here shows a stark transformation from aquamarine to emerald green a few miles from the shore. This beach experiences a good number of footfalls each year.

Location:

Key Attractions:
Among the attractions of this beach, the Chapora Fort deserves a mention. Lava-clad black rock stepping stones lead to this Portuguese fort which is 500 years old. It is reminiscent of the colonial era of Goa and commands picturesque views of the sea and hills that are covered by coconut trees and rice fields. It is a must-visit place for those who want to relive the historical past.

The pace of life is rather laidback and from the ramparts of the Fort you can spot the fishermen carrying their fishing nets to the boats in which they go fishing. This picture perfect beach is just ideal for catching a glimpse of the rural Goanese life.

Climate:

During the summers the temperature ranges from 24C to 32.7C, and during the winters it ranges from 21.3C to 32.2C.

The tourists can also enjoy coconuts, bananas and "Bebinca", a Goan delicacy made from tender coconuts.
