Location:
Calangute & Baga beaches lie on the exquisite shores of the Arabian Sea of North Goa in India. It is bordered by Arpora-Nagoa, Saligao and Candolim, in the Bardez taluka, and is just located at a distance of 15 km from Panjim which is the capital city of the state of Goa.

Goa has more or less a stable climate but April and May could be quite warm. June to October is the period of monsoons and the temperature may range anywhere from 24�C to 32.7�C and during winters from 21.3�C to 32.2�C.
History of Popularity:
The Calangute & Baga Beaches of Goa were discovered by the hippies in the pristine surroundings and blissful tranquility and golden sands. These beaches were actually made famous by the hippies and many foreigners started coming in to this place subsequently.
