Benaulim Beach


Goa is well-acclaimed for its golden beaches and Benaulim beach is one of the major crowd pullers among the various beaches of Goa. It is situated about two kilometers from the ever popular Colva Beach and is rapidly becoming a hot spot with the ardent beach lovers who crave for some intimate holidays. Location:
Benaulim beach is located in south Goa and is just 20 km ahead of the famous Colva beach. It is at a distance of 40 km from the capital city of Goa, Panaji.

Key Attractions:

Nossa Senhora de Merces (Our Lady of Mercy) Church: This church is well-known for its yearly religious event, Fama of Menino Jesuse (Child Jesus) ever since the 17th century. It is celebrated by the Catholic community celebrates on the third Monday of October each year. A big fair is also held here to celebrate

Climate:
The climate of Goa remains more or less temperate all the year round and there are only minor fluctuations. You might need the woolen clothes during the month of December and January. The temperature in the April and May remains generally warm. The temperature during the summers ranges from 24°C to 32.7°C and during the winters it ranges from 21.3°C to 32.2°C.

How To Reach:

By Air: Dabolim is the nearest airport which is located at a distance of 29 km from Panaji and 68 km from Colva.

By Rail: Karmali is the nearest railhead which is at a distance of 11 km from Panaji.

By Road: The road network is equally good and thus makes for a quick access to Benaulim beach.

You must be aware of the fact that drug trafficking could lead to lifetime imprisonment in the eyes of the Indian law and the swimmers are advised to be cautious of several spots on the beach where there are strong underwater currents.
