Tourism in Corbett National Park has been on the rise ever since the park was established with its current name in 1955. This forest is the oldest and one of the best national parks in India. It is also one of the earliest tiger reserves started in the country. A vast number of flora and fauna species can be found in Corbett. Location: the park is situated in the newly formed state of Uttarakhand, formerly a part of Uttar Pradesh in Northern India.
Clothing:
Very light cotton clothes are advised in summer accompanied by sunglasses and caps. Heavy woolens are needed for the winter when temperatures take a plunge. Woolen caps, ear muffs, and gloves would prove to be very handy. Rain gear should be carried during the monsoon months.
How to Reach:
Air � the nearest international airport is in Delhi, 290 kilometers away. There is a small airport at Phoolbagh , about 50 kilometers away.
Rail � Ramnagar ( 14 kms ) is the nearest railway station, and is connected by a daily overnight train from Delhi ( Ranikhet Express ) Moradabad is the nearest junction from where connecting trains to other parts of the country can be availed.
Road � Tourists can reach Corbett National Park by road from Delhi, Ranikhet, Nainital and other nearby cities. Tourist buses and private taxis can be availed from these cities to reach Ramnagar.
